Oxfordshire County Council
A community building in a neighbourhood park (Oxford Architects, 2009).
Florence Park is an attractive residential area developed in the 1920s to provide privately rented houses for the growing number of employees in Cowley industries, with a large public park at its heart. This attractive, low building, which replaced a Portakabin, has a glulam timber structure and cedar cladding. With a Sarnofil green roof it is a major technological and aesthetic upgrade. Used mainly as a Children’s Centre.
